MEXICAN ANTIQUE JEWELRY

Julia, the owner of Eye’s Gallery, brought these magnificent, handmade, antique pieces back from her most recent trip to Mexico. They are all sterling silver – some decorated with turquoise or coral stones, others showcasing exquisite filigree work.

TARINA TARANTINO

When Tarina was 3 years old, her mother bought her blocks of colorful clay called Fimo. She immediately made a ring and spent endless hours creating more jewelry for her play store. In the early 90′s, working as a fashion model in Europe, Tarina would spend her evenings making jewelry from beads and crystals found at Parisian flea markets and antique shops. People loved the unique, sparkly creations she would wear and literally bought her pieces off her body.

Now Tarina and her husband Alfonso have a studio in West Hollywood with half a dozen employees to meet the growing demand. Fans of Tarina’s jewelry include Katy Perry, Pink, Jennifer Lopez, Heidi Klum, Hilary Duff, Cameron Diaz and Gwen Stefani.

BEIJO BRASIL

Misty Darling founded Beijo Brasil in 2002 while living in Sao Paulo, Brasil. Contemporary art work, vintage fabrics, victorian scrap, world travel, nature and the patterns within it are the inspirations for Beijo Brasil’s whimsical jewelry, now created in their studio in Sonoma, California.

The ladies at Beijo Brasil hope their designs convey all the love and reverence they have for the many magical things that inspire them daily.

Shelly Cooper is a jewelry artist, designer and historian who nurtured a love of antique jewelry into a flourishing design and manufacturing company. Derived from a life-long study of antique and vintage jewelry, she blends history, beauty and imagination in designs which radiate the authenticity and spirit of many eras of fashion history.

AYALA BAR

Many have tried to define the style of Ayala Bar’s handcrafted jewelry. It has been called Art Deco meets the Middle East, for example. Each piece is lovingly composed of non-precious metals combined with glass beads, mineral stones and crystal rhinestones. Ayala Bar establisheds her design company in Israel in 1990 and it has gained substantial recognition ever since.

CLASSIC HARDWARE

Karyn Cantor is the creator of Classic Hardware – jewelry and accessories with class and sass. Born and raised in Los Angeles, jewelry designing came naturally to Karyn, and she created her first line as a teenager in the early 80′s LA Punk Rock scene.

Classic Hardware collaborates with over a dozen talented artists from all over the world. They mix low-brow, high-brow, and pop surrealism to make the gorgeous paintings for their jewelry and vanity cases. Their customers include Madonna, Paris Hilton, Christina Aguilera and Kat Von D.

DE LUXE

Handcrafted in Netherlands, Amsterdam, De Luxe high end couture jewelry is stunning and dramatic; most pieces are large and massive. They are made of unusual and unique materials like car glass or gripoix glass, combined with antique and vintage stones collected by the designer, Mikel Alexander Ansingh.
