New Relix Studio showcases the stitched and collaged jewelry pieces by artist Katia Bulbenko.

Katia Bulbenko uses beautiful materials like hand painted silk, velvet, and printed silk with bits of paper, beads, synthetic interfacing, and stitching to create tiny, delicate, wearable works of art.

After studying printmaking and painting at Tyler School of Art, Bulbenko pursued her interests in sculpture and silk painting, then worked as a freelance textile designer for many years.  Her favorite media are silk, beads, watercolor, colored pencil, and gouache. She lives in Weehawken, New Jersey with her husband and daughter.
